I just got a situation figured out. I was performing poorly in school because I was letting a girlfriend control me, and that distraction is no more. I am at a gpa of 3.1 right now. I 3.0'd the first quarter of general chem (I could've done so much better...) and 3.2'd a literature class I had (could've done better there too), and this quarter my second quarter of calculus isn't looking too hot. I came in with AP credit for the first quarter of calculus, and I fear I screwed myself over by not retaking the entire series. My question is this:
Would it be ok to adcoms if I decided next quarter to retake the first quarter of chemistry and restart the sequence (I've only taken the first quarter anyway), and if I restarted the calc series from the beginning? Do I even really need calc that bad? I am deciding between philosophy, history and chemistry as potential majors if that makes any difference. Also, doing this will probably add another year on to obtaining my bachelor's degree... is this going to be a problem? I'm so stressed out right now it's not even funny 🙁
