Retaking classing where you got AP credit

I forwarded my ap credit to my undergrad school, and it shows up on my transcript as receiving credit for Physics and Chem, among others. I have read that adcoms expect you to take upper level classes in lieu of this credit, but at my school that would mean taking classes you would only need if you were majoring in it. For that reason, I just retook the introductory class. Is that really a problem?

There is no problem with retaking the introductory science classes.
