Hello, I am a pre-med sophomore at a public university in NC. After the summer classes I am currently taking are over, I will have a GPA of 3.49. I took a sociology class last fall and got a C+. I could retake it with a marvelous professor who is much easier and have the grade replaced as an A. Would it be worth it? I am double majoring in Exercise Science and Spanish, so my schedule is packed, but I can make room for one retake if it would be worth it.

I do not think it will be worth it. I would just focus on raising your GPA with new classes.

Hmmm ... you're a pre-med sophomore with a double major. A sociology class is classified as a "social science" class. It is not a core "science" class. Presumably, your double major course load is not jeopardizing your performance in the rest of your classes - especially the science classes. If it is, you might want to drop something now, as opposed to trying to "repair" academic problems later on (e.g., GPA) in your junior or senior year.
You can increase your overall GPA by ace-ing your other classes - especially core science classes. Presumably, your course load as a pre-med sophomore will still include an assortment of core sciences.
How are you doing (or how have you done) in your core science classes (e.g., o-chem, physics)? What's your present sGPA? Adcoms are often very interested in core science classes, and probably not as interested in lower-division social science classes. Ummm ... no offense to any social science majors or sociology scholars on this board ... no worries. 🙂
Alternatively, if you're feeling seriously anxious about the C+ grade in sociology last fall, you could enroll in a different social science class and ace that second social science class. In so doing, you can make a persuasive argument that you rocked the second sociology class, and no one's going to pay too much attention to the first sociology class taken in your frosh year.
