Hi, I wrote the canadian Dat on Nov, and am thinking of rewriting it in this upcoming Feb.

My question is twofold.

1) Which score will the Dental schools (Americans) look at, the most recent or the highest score, or both? I heard somewhere that they look at your last 4 DAT scores. Ps. Nov was the first time i wrote the Dat.

2) If the schools do look at both scores, or if my Nov score is higher....Another issue is that when i wrote the Nov Dat, i chose to apply the marks to the 5 schools, but if i write the Feb DAT and choose 5 different schools to apply to, can i get my Nov score to those 5 schools as well? Will i have to do anything, or will it automatically be seen by the 5 schools?

Thanks in advanced.

1-From what I understand most schools will look at the most recent score no matter if you did better or worse. There are a few schools like Pitt that are way nice and take the combination of best scores from all tests. So you might want to check with the schools you are working with. PS you only can take the DAT 3 times now.\

2-If you want to send you new results to different schools all you have to do it goto www.ada.org and look for the DAT section where you signed up and add in more schools and pay the additional fees. You can do that after you take the test. I think this is the link you want - https://www.ada.org/prof/ed/testing/dat/online/addtranscript2.asp
