I can't take the DAT again till August, but I am sending in my application here in a few days. Do I have to notify each school that I am re-taking, or are my updated scores just automatically sent??

i'm pretty sure it will show on your app as long as your DENTPIN is correct on your information. since they will have the score downloaded from the ada, i'm sure the future test date will also be there.

Yeah I think when you sign up for the DAT using the DENTPIN, something somewhere is recorded that you're retaking it. It makes no sense, though.

Im in the same seat as you. Im debating submitting since there was no where on the app to say that I am retaking the DAT in August. Since my previous score wasnt the highest, I dont want them to make a decision from that score. Not to sure what to do either😕

do you think its something you should email admissions of each school you're applying to in order to make sure they're aware? or include in supplementals?

Yes, apply anyways unless money is a real issue for you. If not, you don't have much to lose if you apply this year. Also people have gotten in taking their DAT's late in August. Also if you can make a change for taking future DAT's date to when you will be taking it again. Also you can e-mail each of the schools you are going to apply to let them know that you will be retaking the DAT's and to expect the new scores once you take it.

I forgot all about this thread haha but yes I contacted each school and they said to do just what DQLEUCD says. Just to be safe you can also call each school, thats what I am gonna do. Good luck to everyone retaking!!😀
