OK, if one were to retake the DAT, what are the implications? Will schools automatically find out about it? Can I just take it again and again until I love my scores? Will schools only see the scores that I submit? Is it wise to take the test and only have scores sent later? Does ADA send the score directly to the school?

I am sure this has already been covered, but I've searched the threads and there are so many dumb threads it's impossible to sort through and find out what I really want to know.

1. Schools probably won't find out unlesss you send them.
2. You can only take it 3 times without permission. After the 3rd try you need to go through a lot of hassle to retake it. Also, you can only take it every 3 months.
3. Schools will see all your scores.

Hey jigabodo, could you please clarify your response?
You wrote,

and 3. Schools will see all your scores.

I don't understand!

When you decide to send your score report to a certain school, they will see all attempts. However, if you choose not to send scores to a particular school, they won't know that you have retaken.

I didn't know this! So it is technically possible to retake the exam, see how you do, and then decide afterwards whether or not to have the scores sent? In this case, the schools will never know you retook, so if, for some reason, you do poorly the second time, you'll still be okay??
