Retaking MCAT 3rd Time in July

I know many of you won't like my post because a parent is asking this but I'm going to ask anyways. My daughter is taking MCAT 3rd time in July. This time she is taking online Kaplan course, hope it will help her. She wants to go to med school badly and she doesn't want to go any other field and I support her 100%. Some of you may not agree with that.

1st MCAT 24
2nd MCAT 498
3rd MCAT schedule for July

Do DO school avg out the MCAT score or look at the highest?
She is trying to get 505+ this time hopefully.

Graduated from Biology major from UC.
GPA 3.4
SGPA 3.3
EC: working as a scribe in ER, have lots of volunteer work. Only thing missing shadowing DO. She has shadowed MD though.

She will apply on day 1 by adding one school so her application gets verified.
Taking MCAT on 7/8/16 and will get MCAT score on 8/8/16, will that be too late?

Yeah, we generally don't like when parents hover and your daughter is old enough to be dealing with this on her own. That said, she'd probably not the first child to be babied throughout the entirety of their college career.

Schools usually look at the highest attempt. If she seriously doesn't do well after a third attempt and going through a Kaplan course, she might need to reconsider if medicine is the best choice. I'm fairly certain you can apply to all schools and there's a part that can be selected to say that a new score will be attempted. No, August is far from too late.

Despite this NorCal helicopter parenting;

1: She has an uphill battle.
2: She needs to break 505+
3: She will need to shadow a DO and obtain a DO LOR, a lot of schools want one.
4: It's school dependent on how they look at MCAT scores. The schools still "see" all the scores, but how they handle it is up to them. Some will average, some will take highest, etc. I had a really bad first MCAT and a much better second one. It was mentioned at 50% of my interviews.
5: That is getting to be late, but I added all my schools later than that (Sept/Oct) and still landed several interviews.

She still has a good chance if she does well on the mcat. If she wants it bad enough, she should be able to study hard and do well on it. She maybe needs to find better study method if she did study but scores didn't improve.
