So the policy for retaking an OAT test is 90 days? Is that including weekends? I wanted to sign up for it Aug 24. Would I be able to take it again BEFORE nov 24??

I guess im really asking if I do bad on the 24th of Aug. When will be the earliest I can take it again?

If you retook it, you would have to wait 90 days of the first test date- so 90 days of August 24th would be November 24th.

considering august and October have 31 days, wouldnt it actually be like the 23rd?

Yeah probably around that date. I'm not quite sure how the testing place does it. It would be best to contact the ADA/ OAT directly to get a better idea of what consider 90 days, or what not.

I took mine on June 30 and emailed the ADA and they told me I couldn't apply to retake it until Sept 30. I misunderstood at first and thought I'd be able to reapply to take it ASAP but just had to wait to actually schedule it until 90 days was up, but nope.. I'm hoping spots aren't filled in October so I can snag one..

So you can't even sign up and reserve a date until sept 30?? I called prometric and they said if I take it on Aug 24th, i wont be able to retake it until november 25th. Which is more than 90 days.. weird.. So I went with Aug 18th yikes... I hope I'm ready.

Nope! The email from the ADA said "Your 90 day wait period ends 9/30/2015 at which time you can submit a new application and pay the fee, then schedule an exam."

I think essentially it's a 3-month period from the day you take it, which is a bit misleading considering some months have 31 days..

Oh wow so that means it can potentially be much longer than 90 days if the seats get taken... I guess I'm going to have to bank it all on this first try...

I wouldn't worry too much. You can submit your Optomcas application and have the schools wait for your score. The majority of the schools deadlines are in March. So as long as you have your test score before March (depending on the school.. ) or December (for Berkley) I think you should be fine. However, it does take roughly 2 weeks for the official scores to be sent out to the schools.
