so i'm taking the mcat again this summer...but i'm concerned about not having enough new diagnostic materials. particuarly, diagnostic materials that are close to the aamc exams.

august 2005 i did all the aamc tests, and the verbal 101. i'm worried about having to practice with teh same materials again, and that my performance the second time around may not be an accurate reflection.

i'm sure that i won't remember many passages or questions, but i wish there were more AAMC materials. does anyone know of anything that compares to verbal 101?

for retakers, what was your strategy in terms of using the same materials?

thanks 😀

perhaps you should buy some things from PR or Kaplan. I find the guides are awesome. If you already know the basics, Kaplan offers an Advanced study guide fill with hard questions. Kaplan also has a book of many practice tests.

None of these things are too expensive.

I don't think re-taking these exams will be a problem since, like you said in your post, you won't remember the questions. Plus, the AAMC is the closest to the real thing so the more you master what they're asking the better, right?

I think the problem comes in with gauging how well you are doing this time since you have seen these materials already... as well as the test no longer being as close to the real thing because u have done this before...I'm in the same boat since I did the AAMC tests for this April and went over them so I remember a lot and I'm worried I wont know how well (or not well) I'm doing and whether it's worth taking the test over... 😕
Any advice? 🙂
