Retaking the MCAT

496. Should I retake in September or January? I work full-time and plan on studying again around the beginning of June.

Also what are some things retakers have done to improve? I was averaging around 505 for my FLs so maybe nerves got to me during test day. However, I would like to shoot for a much higher score next time.

Do not take again until you are confident of a score c/w success.
A string of low scores is much more damaging than just one.
Even if you had gotten a 505, admission would be an uphill battle for MD in most states (there are some exceptions).
How many AAMC FL's do you have left?
