I am a general dentist graduated in 2015. I was practicing dentistry in a dental chain for two years before I started my maternity leave. Due to personal and family issues, I've been a stay home mom with my baby for 6 months now. I am not sure when I will be able to return to work. I thought about going back and work part time when my baby turns 1 year old; however, my husband and I don't have any family around the area and if possible I would like to stay at home with him longer. I don't have any student loans and our finance is not a problem. I do understand that it's going to be hard for me to find work again if I am out of practice for too long. I am wondering if there is any retraining programs other than AEGD or GPR for dentists who are on leave for a period of time? Thank you!
