After a few years of internal debating and gaining experience in each of the fields, I have finally chosen to apply to dental school instead of medical school! Now, I am starting a little later than most here (started my senior year) so I want to start preparing to study for the DAT as soon as possible.

I compiled a list of materials I will buy, and I need to know if I am going overboard or if I am missing anything that is highly recommended. I got these book recommendations from the Columbia ASDA. Another thing to take into consideration is that I will be taking the test later on and I heard that the biology and math section is changing. So, should I wait for new material for these sections?

Also, where can I get actual DAT tests to practice?

Also, there seems to be an Ace and Royal version for Crack DAT material. Which should I buy?

Replace CDP/CDR with Bootcamp, get rid of Kaplan and download Feralis notes and you should be solid.

What is the reason for replacing Crack Dat PAT and Crack DAT Reading with Bootcamp? From my research thus far, Crack DAT PAT seems to be most recommended material for the perceptual section.

Thanks!

Bootcamp is much closer the the real thing, has detailed solutions, and has generators for HP, AR, CC, and pattern folding. Not to mention it's cheaper and comes with 5 practice tests for every other section of the DAT

Don't worry I'm in the same boat... I'm taking second time 🙁

Well I actually haven't even taken it yet! I haven't even started studying 🙁 but I am excited to do so.

I just need some clarification with the Bootcamp. So, is it really only $117 for 3 months for the practice questions for all the sections? Or is there another option for Bootcamp? Seems somewhat cheap.

yeah it's $117 for everything.

I would recommend Bootcamp also, their PAT is a hair harder then what you'll see on the actual DAT. Once you are able to complete the practice exams quick enough and get in the 20s, you'll fly through the DAT and get a solid score for the PAT section. Its the same concept with the Destroyer the questions are a lot harder for a purpose and makes the DAT feel a lot easier! Good luck!

Bootcamp, Math Destroyer, DAT Destroyer, Chads videos with his quizzes, Feralis, and Cliffs AP Biology. Nothing more! Don't waste money on CDP its a total waste because everything is much easier in there (except angles). Bootcamp has generators like CDP and Bootcamp has 10 exams for PAT and 5 for all other subjects. Its a perfect package for 3 great months.

From what I've been reading, destroyer for all sciences, cliffs bio and kaplan reading are the way to go...

Oh and math destroyer....looks good I'm using a lot of the same materials

I got the DAT Destroyer, Math Destroyer, Cliff's, Feralis, Bootcamp, Chad's, Crack DAT Math

I also got the rest of the Crack DAT series. I got it for free! 🙂 I don't know if I'll use it but I just took it since nothing came out of my pocket: )
