Hi, I know how imp't. it is to review questions after completing them, but it is taking sooooo long! Does anyone have a good method of reviewing the explanations to QBANK? I read the whole thing and then write down some important points, but it takes like 1 hour for just 20 questions. I dont know how I'm going to review all explanations and understand them, since there are 2103 questions! Any suggestions to be more time efficient?
thanks!

Im also interested in this.
I started IV qbank. I write down a short few notes on each topic. Esp those where I know I was deficient in knowledge.

but I wonder if Im using qbank correctly.

Here is what I did:

Look at each question. If you cant work through it, guess. Whether you get it right or wrong, then read the explanation. If you see something weird, write it down. Review the question a week later, if you cant remember the concept behind why an answer is right and why the rest are wrong, look it up in your major resource. I did QBank once, and then reviewed it and found that I had retained more than I thought. 3 minutes a question is not absurd though, you should expect to put this much time into it, but in my opinion, the benefit of doing questions is the preparation for the real-life test-taking experience, which includes guessing. Sometimes you just go with it.

Try this:

1) Do the questions
2) For those you got correct -- review only those you guessed on and I mean read only the explanation to your correct answer to confirm what you were thinking.
3) For those you got wrong -- read the explanation to your wrong answer and then read the explanation to the correct answer. This way you're not reading every single possibility. That would be ideal but you don't have time for that. Chances are that if you get through all the questions, sooner or later you will come across all the topics you will need. So don't waste time reading every answer.

See if that helps.

Just a random question: are you an M2 whose already started using Qbank for boards or are you an M3 who's just taking boards "off-schedule"?? I am just wondering because I intend to use Q-bank but I just figured it's a little early for that yet.

Just so you know, I got a deal on QBank and started it in January, finished by spring break. It helped me learn things I hadnt seen yet, and focus on things I had.

Yeah, that's about the timeline I'm looking at... I know you can get a good price on Q bank if you buy it before Dec 31, but it's only October so I'll chill for now.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I'm getting faster at reviewing qu. now, and I've started to type explanations/things I need to know into Microsoft Word instead of writing them down on paper. It goes a lot faster by typing.
Did you guys review a 50 qu. block immediately after you finished it, or did you wait until later to review it?
Also, how much in advance would you recommend finishing QBANK before exam date? Do you think 1 week is enough time?
thanks!

Peeshee?

so i guess it's better to do questions AS you study, eh (even at the very beginning, like as early as jan when you're first starting to review)?

Also, did u do them everyday for 3 months? And approx how many/day?
Shouldn't you also do them right before you peak and take the real thing?

THanks for the responses.
