I've read several posts on these forums, and understand many Med schools may not accept pre-med from online.

My case, I work full-time, plus take care of older parents at home (which is major motivation for me to become Doctor). At the moment, pre-med Online is most flexible for me (I understand it may limit Med school prospects, but we all have to do our best)

So far, I see University of England has nice online courses, with the ability to do labs at home. For someone constrained with time, these self-paced courses wonderful, and would give understanding and satisfaction of learning the subject.

Can you recommend other online pre-med programs. Hoping to enroll later this year.

I've been searching for them as I would want to take few of them overseas lol
But don't really recommend it though.

Quite comprehensive list.

Thank you so much!

Just keep in mind that you may have to retake these later on. Online classes are a joke and most med-schools know this.

North Central Missouri College (NCMC) offers online general chemistry and online physics. The courses include labs. For more information, it is best to email or call the instructor directly. Since NCMC is a small school, I am able to offer flexible course scheduling.

Not my online classes! Remember the old saying: you get out of something what you put into it.

The problem is 99% of them are and med schools aren't going to waste their time trying to figure out which ones are difficult and which ones aren't. Thats why a majority of med schools do not accept online prerequisites.

My goal is to have my online classes stand out and be recognized by medical schools as rigorous, quality courses. If you have any suggestions or ideas, I would be delighted to hear them.

First you would have to have all of your labs in person along with proctored exams. However, even with doing this it would take decades to even attempt to have it recognized by medical schools if it ever even happened. I'm not saying you couldn't create an online course that was as difficult and sufficient as an in-person class, because you definitely could, and I'm sure there are even some like that now. The problem is getting med schools to accept this. The hard part with that is are med schools really going to go through course requirements and say "online courses not excepted, except from..."? Maybe one day but I don't see it happening within the next 20 years.

Ultimately you have to have people graduate from your classes that end up getting into medical schools to attest to this. The problem is most med schools don't take online classes, so very few people take online classes for med school, and the ones that do often have to retake the classes at a university.
