Rewrite PS as reapplicant

I was told by a DS advisor to rewrite my personal statement....so I want to include a discussion about why i was unable to take a full load of science courses. I work full time as an ortho assistant, I have to pay my own bills (29 yrs old), my boss is amazing and let me leave work to go to class and then come back to work and leave again without docking my pay....so a full courseload of sciences could not work for me because of that but also the days/times of courses needed didnt work well with my schedule...the reason i want to bring this up is because when i asked why i was rejected, one of the reasons was there was concern that i would not be able to handle the DS curriculum, but in all actuality I CAN and I HAVE proved it by working full time, and doing well in class. I know while in DS i will not be working so all my time is devoted towards school.....I just dont know how to convey this properly in my personal statement....any suggestions???

When rewriting a ps for a re-applicant, it might be wiser to include what progress you have made since the last application cycle. Taking a single course, while working and doing well only proves just that. There is a world of difference between one-two courses per year and 20+ courses.
