I'm already aware of the whole type-II hypersensitivity regarding M-protein and rheumatic heart disease.

My question is about the erythema marginatum and subcutaneous nodules. My gut feels like they're type-III, not type-II, hypersensitivity, but I was hoping someone could elaborate/explain this for me. In other words, I'm not sure as to whether the Abs against the M-protein are acting multi-systemically or just specifically with the heart. With the heart, I get it --> type-II, but what about elsewhere?

Cheers,
