Does anyone know anything about the residency programs in RI? I'm a third year student trying to pick out all my externships. Also, any opinions of Beth Israel versus Cambridge? How is the scope of practice in RI? Thanks in advance!

I'm familiar with the site, I was wondering if anyone had visited the programs...

I am also a third year student so I haven't visited, but I have heard good things about Memorial. It seems to be a very well-rounded program that still allows for high surgical numbers for its residents. The hospital is also affiliated with Brown's med school so it has a decent reputation as a teaching hospital in general.

I'm having a hard time narrowing down my clerkship choices, but I think Memorial will be one program that I will apply to.

On the other hand, I know nothing about the Roger Williams program.

EDIT: To answer your question about scope of practice, RI is as "good" as any state. It includes the ankle and leg.
