Rising M2 at school without in-house free clinic

My current school's free clinic shutdown during covid, and there currently are no plans to bring it back to life. Does anyone have advice on how I could possibly join a free clinic at another nearby school (in NYC)? It appears that most institutions in the area (Cornell/Columbia, Sinai, Einstein) only consider students from their respective schools. Ideally, I would also want to pursue a leadership position, but I know that may be asking for too much at this point.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My school doesn't have an associated free clinic but I volunteer at one run by local volunteers. There aren't any leadership opportunities for medical students there but it is still a good experience.
