Hey guys, I'm starting to review for the in-service exam w/ Rivers sixth edition. I'm wondering if there is any list of errata for the book. So far, I've noticed only grammatical errors, nothing content-wise, but I thought I would ask just in case. I haven't seen anything on the Ohio ACEP's website. Thanks!

The 6th edition of the Dr. Carol Rivers’ Preparing for the Written Board Exam was released in 2011. The content is up-to-date and is on a revision cycle of every three years. The minor errata for this book is posted on Ohio ACEP’s web site www.ohacep.org/rivers

What do people think of Carol Rivers books?

I heard it was good from some older attendings, but not much feedback from junior attendings. Is the 2011 ed still as good as whatever competing products are out there?

The Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA) conducted a survey in 2012 identifying the most popular board review books. The Dr. Carol Rivers’ written board book was one of the most popular among residents too.

I used (use) Rivers. I thought it prepared me very well for the inservice and the written boards. I had no problem getting top scores and it helped my overall knowledge base by quite a bit.
