Does anyone know how much experience do you need to become a RN Manager? Is a masters degree required? I am currently in the process of getting into an RN program and ultimately would like to work my way up the ranks to a CNO.

Depends on a lot of factors. I was a nurse manager of a level 1 trauma center 6 months after becoming a nurse, but experience and a grad degree helps.

An additional business degree, while maybe not required, is probably preferred.

You shouldn't go into nursing with the thoughts of becoming a CNO. A nurses job is emotional, physical, and mental. A CNO is a business oriented job. Most CNO's have a BSN or MSN but work their way up after "years" of floor nursing. Nurse managers are nurses with years of floor experience also and believe me, it's not cracked up to be what you might think it is.

Nursing is absolutely NOTHING like what you see on TV. So far from it, it's scary 😱

The manager of my floor has her BSN and Masters in Public Health Administration.

Actually, a nurse doesn't need to spend much time at the bedside in order to pursue a career in admin. Hence, the common complaint that they are out of touch with bedside nursing issues.

You just validated my point, thanks 😉
