Use all the free resources available to you from SDN: articles, guides, expert advising, forums discussions, and school research.
50 hours of physical shadowing and 200 hours of non clinical volunteering would help. Research is not essential unless you are applying to top 20 schools.
Do you still have other pre-reqs that you have to take? I would also start thinking of how you are going to answer 'why' medicine and not advanced practice in your essays and interviews. Feel free to reach out to me as I had a successful cycle last year as an RN.
