I just read a pretty cool article about a project where the creators are using a 2D puzzle game to create new sequences of RNA. Pretty cool stuff. Anyhow, the article is in the NYT. I haven't played the game yet, but I will most definitely have a go at it soon. Here is a link to the article. (You should be able to register for free if you can't read the article right away).

I feel quite nerdish to say this, but this game is a lot of fun.
 
That's pretty cool. I could see myself wasting waaaay too much time on it though...
