Hi gang. I can get the Robbin's question book for free from a friend, but the catch is that it's the 1st edition from 2000. Is it worth it to buy the 2009 edition or are the questions/pictures similar?

Just trying to save what little money I can on my board prep books since I'll be taking Kaplan and using all their material as well, along with the standard qbanks.

I would say that if you can get the second edition, it is the same as the third but there were some changes between 2nd and third. Overall this is a great book... I would even say chapters 1-7 are at least medium yield

The question book is NOT absolutely necessary as Goljan path or UW or FA are and since you're going to be taking Kaplan later, I say just get the free book from your friend.
