I've been doing the Robbins Qbook for the past week, and i've been averaging around 70%-80%! Before getting too ecstatic, I was wondering how difficult these questions are in comparison to the patho/pathophys questions on the step1. Are the questions written in a similar fashion? I know there are a few other threads discussing this book, but I didn't find the answer im looking for. Any insight is appreciated.

It is very good that you are scoring well on Robbin review questions it means that you know your fundamentals very well, at least this is what some ppl i know have told me. I'm sure you'll do fine it's hard work and determination!🙂

Very good prep for the exam for me

I think I remember Long Dong saying that Robin's was like training with heavy weights. It is much harder then the Step 1 questions, so when you take the real exam the questions should be cake.

I made it through about half of Robbins Review of Pathology, and I'd say the questions there were much harder than the path questions on the boards...

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of spending too much time on that and therefore not having time to cover Neuroscience, Immunology, Biochem, Pharmacology, Biostats, etc.

I've finished about half of questions as well, and I decided to put it away. The questions are great but it's taking up time that would be better spend elsewhere, and the explanations aren't as detailed and engaging as UW.

Robbins Review Qs don't seem to involve much "multi-step" reasoning. Are these questions just harder since they are more nitpicky on memorized details than Step 1?

Yes, and that's a very good point.

Also, the robbins review book is not broad enough, and doesn't cover everything. You need a source with more questions to supplement it.

Thats the key thing about using any resource or studying any subject. Try to find and use those which cover key points and that do not take so much time that you have to sacrifice other subjects. The exception of course is path and the general consensus is that RR is the best single reference to use to boost your understanding of path in an efficient way.
