So basically I'm thinking of writing a "letter of intent/commitment" to Rochester to (dreeeeaming here) help get me off their waitlist. Can't hurt they say, right? But I need decide if I really want to commit to Rochester, just in case they do accept me.

The issue of location aside, is it worth to pay double tuition for Rochester's reputation, smaller class size, awesome curriculum??? (hmm, did I answer my question there?)

Yes, you answered your question.

I think Rochester is well-worth the money. But, why is it such a dream to get in off of their waitlist? (I'm also on their waitlist and was hoping it wasn't so far-fetched that I could eventually be accepted...)

Well, for one my stats are somewhat below theirs. And I don't think their waitlist goes through significant movement.

I heard an odd rumor that everyone gets put on their waitlist post-interview. It doesn't sound right, but has anyone else heard anything like this? I have heard, though, that they dip significantly into their waitlist, so I don't think your dream is so farfetched! 🙂

Yea, i've never heard of a post-interview rejection from Rochester. It wasn't as much dreaming to get into Rochester, but more dreaming that my letter will help my case 🙂
