Boston University-- I have great info on objective characteristics of this program-- but I only met a few residents and faculty, so I did not get a feeling for general happiness of residents.
And are the attendings approachable?
Is the whole inner city/ immigrant language barriers thing really that big of a detractant for you guys with more exposure to that atmosphere.
Thanks for any input.

a little clarification-- when I interviewed at BU I only met 2 residents and 3 faculty members the entire time-- that seemed a little odd, but they were all nice. I just wondered if anyone else had that experience or found that to be strange? Maybe they were just very busy. Thanks

I met 5 residents and 5 attending and I thought they were all really cool and happy. I also met a BU med student who is applying this year and she had nothing but glowing things to say about the program, including that she will rank it highly. It really seems like a fantastic place with no real weakness.

It seemed great to me too--but I needed more evidence. Thanks a million.

I know the residents at BU pretty well, and they are generally very happy at BU. They are a great group of people, who get along very well, and hang out together during their time off. The attendings are also generally very nice and approachable. So, when it comes to the people at BU, I'd definitely count it as one of the programs strengths.
