I'm a Canadian undergrad student currently studying in the US. I'm planning to mainly apply to Canadian med schools but also some American schools (although as an international I know my chances are slim). Is it true that most if not all Canadian schools are non-rolling? For example, UBC's app opens on June 10 but its early submission deadline is Aug 15.
This would really benefit me I think because currently I only have around 4 weeks to study for the MCAT, so being able to take a later date up until even July 2 would be very beneficial. However, this would greatly hurt my chances in the US because they function on a rolling system right? Should I basically give up my chances at American schools and just aim to get the best score I can and only apply to Canadian schools (where I have residency too)?
Thanks!
