Hello,

If there's anyone interviewing at NYU on Oct. 23 and would like to split a hotel room nearby the school (rather pricey) please let me know.

I'll also be staying there over the weekend (to absorb the sites) so you are welcomed to stay a bit longer as well. Thanks!🙂

P.S. About me: I am a male who graduated for UCLA last year.

The mass transit in NY is better than anywhere in the US. Stay a little farther away from the school and pay much less. The commute is very easy.

I agree I'm staying in Newark, NJ.

Thats a bad neighborhood, be careful over there. I would stay somewhere in queens or brooklyn, maybe by sheepshead bay or something. I dont know if there are hotels there but they should be a third of the price of a Manhattan Hotel, and to go from Sheepshead bay to NYU is like a 45 minute train ride.

Well its nice to stay near the school to get a better feel for the area. You could also get great deals on nice NY hotels through priceline

Doesn't club quarters offer deals for guests of the university?

it's not that bad. even iron bound has cleaned up A LOT compared to maybe 5-10 years ago. most areas are fine. or try surrounding places (nutley, kearny, hoboken, jersey city), still nice places. although closer to city is pretty much city prices, take heed.

I stayed at the YMCA for my CU interview for like, $70. It's right in the middle of everything and has a gym there. Stay cheap, get a free workout.

I might take you up on that room share.

My interview is October 24th (Friday), so I'll need a place to stay the night of the Thursday, October 23rd.
