Hi all,

I just got accepted to Roseman’s MBS program. I will be completing this program to increase my chances of getting accepted to their DMD program. How successful are students in getting accepted to the dmd program while taking the mbs in-person vs online. Does the DMD admissions committee value the in-person masters students more that the online masters students? I’m from California so I’d be saving a lot if I can stay home an extra year before moving out for the DMD program.

People get in both in person and online. Of course, if you do it in person, you can form better connections with the dental faculty and might have a higher chance of acceptance. But saving money would be a big plus. If I were in your shoes, I would probably take it online to save the money.

3 reasons off the top of my head why you should consider in-person
1) MUCH more contact with faculty/staff at roseman d school
B) living at home, you have all your family and friends and car and food and all the other distractions
last) motivation from other members of your cohort- it's good to be around and study/learn/have fun with a bunch of like minded students. unlike undergrad where everyone has different majors and motivations, you are around a bunch of people as motivated as you are

but then there's the cost...
