i just got back from my interview with ross at the irvine location. i dont know what happened. the lady was very nice and it was your standard stress-free interview. i think i got nervous/distracted by her writing down as i spoke and she didnt really seem to speak much. overall, i felt so awkward and at a loss for words. i felt like my mind just froze over from start to finish. ahh!! is it possible, or rather, common for people to be rejected by a bad interview? i have SGU interview tomorrow and am also worried about bombing that one as well. 🙁🙁🙁

Look, I wasn't interviewed by Ross or SGU, but I did apply (and was accepted) to med school. Don't sweat your interviews; try to have as much fun with them as humanly possible, focus on being conversational yet professional, think before you speak, and most of all, be your honest self. If you do these things, you'll be fine. Don't worry about trying to impress the interviewer with your "medical knowledge" or what she's writing down because that will just make you freeze.

I just got accepted to Ross, actually. I interviewed last week in Miami, and I had a different experience in that I feel like my interview went wonderfully. That being said, the interviewers know that you're nervous, and I have to imagine expect a certain degree of stress. Just focus on all of the good things in your application. Try to relax, and know that everything will work itself out in time. It took me forever (5 years!) to get into school, but getting that acceptance phone call yesterday was the best day of my life... and I honestly mean that. So don't give up on your dreams, no matter what the results of this interview may be. Best wishes to you in the future!

thanks kimerly, it's always nice to get words of encouragement from fellow sdn'ers 🙂.

glad to hear your interview went well and that you're well on your way on being a doctor!!! congrats!!!!

Congratulation Kimberly. I just interviwed at Miami this past week. They told me it would be about 2-3 weeks before I heard a response. So I am waiting with my fingers crossed. I got a great vibe from the faculty, interviewers, and hopefully my future fellow students.

Congratulations Kimberly!!!! Way to go!!! You are on your way!!!🙂 🙂 🙂
