I recently submitted my application to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and according to their website, I should be expecting an interview invitation in 2-4 weeks! I was wondering if anyone here has had an interview with Ross SVM? What kinds of questions did they ask? Do you have any tips? I couldn't find any interview tips for Ross Vet School on the SDN interview page. Thanks!

I just recently had an interview there. It was very laid back- one on one interview. They asked the same questions you will find on the other school's interview feedback pages. Questions like- What do you do in your spare time? ,Why do you want to be a vet?, What will you be doing in 5 years; 10 years? If you have any more questions you can PM me.

Good Luck!!

I had an interview with them back in May and was accepted into this January's incoming class. I spent a lot of time pouring over common vet school interview questions and thinking of how to answer them. They asked me exactly zero of them during my interview.

What was really focused on was what in my life had prepared me for moving to another country, culture shock, being away from family and friends, etc. And what goals I had for the future beyond just becoming a vet; private practice vs. multi-partner, research, CE, etc.

Hey everyone,

I will be interviewing with Ross in Denver soon and was wondering if anyone had any tips or pointers. Did they ask questions pertaining to recent animal studies and or events? Was it a long interview (i.e. OSU was an entire day of activities). How soon after your interview did you find out if you were accepted. Thank you all for your help. For those of you currently attending do you like the school? The Island? Anything you can tell me would be much appreciated. Thanks again!

I recently found out I have an interview at Ross University and they said they would contact me in a couple weeks to set it up. I was wondering if anyone knows how the interview process goes. What questions they ask? How far do you have to travel? If they ask more animal related questions about experience or more personal based questions?

So I interviewed for ROSS back in 2009 and got accepted. I was at their New Jersey office (they have a few in the US) and it was very laid back. Most of the questions were not even about Vet related stuff. As stated above, they are really looking for people that can handle being in a foreign environment away from family.

Thanks for your help. I have been really nervous they haven't contacted me yet to let me know where my interview is. So did you like your education at Ross? What was your favorite part?

Did you apply for jan 2012 or may 2012?:xf:

I am interviewing for the May 2012 semester. I am really nervous. I got into vet school in Melbourne (Australia) but had to defer because they started in Febuary and I missed the FASA dedline. I also have an interview at Royal College of Vet Med in January. However, I really want to get into Ross. Did you go there? What can you tell me about the school.

I applied for january but haven't heard anything yet. I have an upcoming interview for sgu next weekend. If I get neither I will probably try again for may with ross possibly or see what feedback they give as to strengthen the application.
