Whew! Just finished up a written case study on a patient with many interesting conditions. My IM attending had me go through the labs and write up a differential and compare diseases under that DDX for each lab abnormality. Just finished up at 35 pages worth. I'm not complaining, I just wondered if any of you are getting similar assignments and what your attendings are making you do (besides the usual reading assignments) in your "free time" outside of rotation hours. I thought 4th year was supposed to be a little more laid back than 3rd!
