hi, im a bit late in asking this, n i hope the answer is no.
but im currently doing 4th yr rotation in this state and i
plan to work for that state upon graduation next summer.
am i required to register with the state board while doing
rotation for the hours to count? or does the school keep
track of the hours? and submit to the state board? i hope
someone can clarify for me since no one ever mention to me
how it goes. right now im just doing rotation n getting the
hours signed by my preceptors. anything else i need to do?

Um yes you have to have an intern licence from the state you are interning in. Or so I have heard from students who are doing rotations in FL who are from out of state.

Yeah, most states require you to have an intern license in that state in order to do any kind of rotation, not just for it to "count." You may be breaking the law.

If you go to another state, at least from what I've seen, you do need to register in that state for an intern license. Your license is only good for the state you are in.. just like an Rph license.

I know we are adults and should be responsible for everything on our own, but I still find it hard to believe your school did not go over this with you.

I had the same thought. How could the school/preceptor not ask for this? I mean the responsibility is on the student but I am surprised no one else cared enough to stop this from happening.
