I just checked my Rush status page and it said that it was updated on 9/1. Does this mean my rejection letter is on its way?

Do they just routinely update the status pages even if nothing changes?
Former applicants, how do they notify you of interview or rejection? I hate this process 🙁

mine was updated 9/1 as well. Let's think our interviews are on the way 😉

Really, though, I think they update it periodically and it doesn't mean anything.

so, i looked at last year's wall of shame, and it looks like no SDNers got rejected by rush...good news for us, hey?? 😉

nope i've been complete for like a month and it's been updated every few days so it doesn't mean anything.

ok, thanks guys. I feel better now that I can go back to my ignorant bliss as I haven't heard squat from any of the schools I applied to. I can continue to think that I will get interviews everywhere! 🙂

Did u guys get that email saying that they had a major server failure? They said they were extending everyone's deadline till 9/1. That might be why you got an update email.

Every few days the status page will update itself with a new date. I think they scan for new letters of recommendation.

I got a weird email saying my file was complete, but on the page, it indicates that they haven't gotten my LORs yet. I know for a fact that my school isn't sending out my LORs until sometime this week, so I'm a bit confused as to why it says my APP is complete.

i got rejected by rush...it just came so late in the season (i think i finally got my letter in april) that i didn't feel like posting anymore.

but they held my application (which was complete in july last year) all the way til the following march or april with no interview and finally a rejection letter...

oh, i'm definitely not complaining 🙂 i couldn't be happier where i'm at. i was just pointing out that rush tends to take their sweet time...so no need for anyone to be freaking out already or anything. and apparently they do many many rounds of application reviews, so even if you're complete early, you may not hear for months and that may not be bad.

incidentally, loyola does several rounds of reviews as well, so being passed up a few times doesn't mean you're out of the running.

good luck...hope you get a chance to check out loyola...it's a fantastic place 🙂
