Just graduated from UIC with a great upward trend in GPA. However, i messed up a lot my freshman year due to college sports, working and taking 18 credits both semesters. My gpa right now is a 2.9 overall and science. So after graduating i decided to take a couple of months to study for my dental exam ended up getting a 18 which is below what i was projected i was dealing with alot of family issues at the time and couldnt reschedule. So instead of applying to dental school this cycle i decided to wait till next cycle. In my gap year i applied to Rush and both midwesterns for there masters program. I got into all three schools but have decided to stay home and attend rush Biotech program. this would allow me to work part time at a dental clinic and continue my research at UIC college of dentistry.

I dont really know that many people who have gone through the program and i have only found a few threads on it. I was wondering if anyone who has gotten in the cycle or anyone that has gone through the program could give me some insight. Most dental schools that i called said if i got above a 3.5 graduate GPA id most likely be accepted. I just want to know about RUSHs program if that is manageable.
