Trying to decide between Tufts and the RVC (4 year accelerated), and I am feeling extremely torn!

I am OOS for Tufts/international for RVC, so the COA is looking like ~334K for Tufts and ~288K for Royal Vet according to the VIN map. Factoring in travel expenses and living overseas, I don't think it is that unreasonable to estimate a similar price tag for both schools (please correct me if I am wrong 😛).

So, I am looking for any strong points to add to my pros and cons lists for either school. I realize that the schooling system in the UK is quite different in general, but I would love to know if there is anybody out there who can offer some guidance or personal experience as an international student learning at RVC or other UK program, particularly about differences in curriculum and looking for internships/specializing after your degree. For both schools, I would love to know more about AHEMS/EMS and selectives, as well as research opportunities!

Thank you all so so much!

I'm at Tufts and didn't get the opportunity to apply to RVC, but the UK rocks.

Are those total tuition prices you're quoting both in $ or is one in £?

Honestly without knowing much about the experience at RVC itself, I'd say go with the cheaper school...but if you are planning on paying for school with federal loans, that is probably not an option in England.

Flights are also wicked expensive at times, so don't expect to be coming home for the holidays unless you are loaded. (Just went there this summer and looked into going again over Christmas... but round trip flights were $500 in July and $1200 in December)

If you end up staying in the US and have questions about Tufts, I'm happy to answer them -- feel free to PM me.
