Actually, you incorrectly inferred that 1-2 people out of a class of 500 matching preliminary ACGME surgical spots meant that Saba puts people into competitive specialties!!!
I'd hardly call that a discussion. It reminds me more of that scene in Silence of the Lambs where Buffalo Bill tucks himself back, smears on some lipstick, and dances around while talking dirty to himself in the mirror.
Hmm if I were on a waitlist trying to make it smaller.. oh yeah! I'd ask about the school I want spots to open up for by "legitimately" comparing it to a caribbean school 😀
Thanks for all the comments. I should have mentioned that it was LECOM Bradenton. I am interviewing at Erie next month. Got my fingers crossed. Does anyone know if their class is full? If not, how close are they to being full? Is there any chance of still making it in or just the waitlist?

Last year this time I believe only ISP and PBL option were open. So you may be looking at "doing medical school indepently" regardless if you are accepted to LECOM-E.
IMO, since it is LECOM-B your decision is even more of a no-brainer. Even though it could be LECOM-anything and still be a no-brainer.
So you are recommending LECOM regardless of whether the classroom option is available? This seems contrary to some of the other postings that seem to indicate that the classroom option is alway available.
I'm simply going by memory of last year's class postings. Many people were having to go ISP/PBL as LDP filled up first. I think LDP probably fills up first because people go with what they know.
