Background
Hey I need some advice from people who have used both UsmleRx and Uworld. I am second yr med student and test is scheduled about 3 months from now. I started in january using Usmle express videos to go over First Aid also doing Rx questions. I was getting 40-60% correct with 52% average. It was not going well because express(don’t recommend it) is not good at making connections and tying things together. So in march I started DIT 2014(really like it) to go over FA and also doing questions on the side. I am finishing a system then doing questions on it.

Problem
Uworld- I like the questions and do better on them than Rx but I am using the questions to learn and I am finding it really time consuming to find out the page where the particular topic was covered to make the annotations in First Aid.

Usmle Rx- Questions seem a little more memorization but I love the fact it shows the page where the answer is found so it is much more efficient and basically I am going over first aid multiple times without actually reading the whole thing over and over again.

Question
So I have 3 months till my exam date with about 5 weeks of dedicated time for prep. You guys think its better to keep going thru Rx right now and then switch over to Uworld(in about a month) or start Uworld right away and just take the longer time to annotate. The issue is that the longer I wait to start Uworld the less chances will be I will be able to make 1 complete pass plus all the in corrects. So the question is if I should just switch to Uworld now or keep doing Rx till I am finished with DIT which would be in mid april then switch.

Thanks

UWorld.
1) More representative of what you will see on the test.
2) IMO, you learn more because their explanations are more thorough. You learn multiple high yield topics in each question.
3) If you want faster annotation. Bind your first aid at a Kinkos, tag the start of each new section (e.g cardio, respiratory etc), and take out the Index and staple it. At the end of the UWORLD question there is a two-three sentence summary called educational objectives. Find the main topic tested and just look it up on your stapled index. No its not fast as Rx where its on the screen for you but the benefit of UWorld questions is worth it.

Also I loathed Rx express. Maybe it will be good in the last month where you can fill in the gaps yourself but the guy is so dry and he skips whole tables sometimes. Though, I know a guy that did >250+ and used it to speed through FA so it works for some people
