Sad state of affairs!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This seems to happen a few times every year. It is usually around th time of the match and again when the board scores come out. It will return to the clinical posts soon enough.

I hope.

military md i think got sick of the young residents who had to tell him....

I used to check the messages here consistently, but all the bickering with the CRNA's has made me only visit about once each month, or less. It just became aggravating to come here and read about conflict daily. Each side was overstating their positions. The physician anesthesiology world is not coming to an end (although there are serious threats) and CRNA's are in no way suited for independent practice (especially day one after their CRNA school, although some of them are darn good).

I am usually 1000% against censorship, but maybe we should have a separate subsection for nurse vs. PHYSICIAN wars, and then the rest of the board can be used for actual learning, and fighting or "I'm better than you" talk will be deleted, and the poster given a warning before his or her IP is banned (can we even do that?).

We need to bring back the thread about how to control pee pee on your scrub bottoms. I learned a lot from the attendings on that one!

Isn't it sad that the only active clinical thread on this forum is the one discussing the highly philosophical dilemma of "to add or not to add" Lidocaine to Propofol ?

Did we run out of subjects?
What happened to the usual players?
Where is Blade? How about Jet?

Not a bad idea. These threads, when they pop up on the main page, can simply be moved to the subforum by one of the mods. Then, people can freely go there and engage in flame wars all they want while keeping the important stuff in the main forum.

I miss MilitaryMD too. I lurked on this forum a long time before I started posting, and I enjoyed reading a lot of his posts. Despite the fact that he seemed to enjoy a little too much getting into pissing matches, he had a lot of good things to say, along with Jetproppilot and UTSouthwestern and Noyac who still post here, about the practice of anesthesia in the "real world" and his posts were valuable. I wonder what happened?

I never said i missed militarymd i just said that he prolly got tired of the young folk that had to tell him... it was a bruise to his ego.. Im fairly certain of that fact...

That bike of him...

A significant # of the readers on this forum are medical students and right now its eras time. A lot of the Qs are going to be about programs and rankings. Take a look at the other forums, its pretty similar there too, don't take it personally.

Tell him what? I don't get it?

Overall, I thought he was a good poster. But, I remember one specific thread where you and he got into a huge battle. He was clearly wrong about something, but wouldn't back down (wish I could find it). And, by the end of it all, I just felt embarrassed for the whole thread. Still, I liked the guy's posts overall. He had a lot of good stuff to say otherwise, and was more often than not correct about what he was talking about, and insightful.

tell him..

militarymd i think posted on here for shock value. he would make very blanket statements and everything would fall under that blanket .. and you know how some people when they get new information they change their minds or views.. he wasnt that type.. You should pull up the racist thread that he authored.. damn..... anyway I dont miss him.. just noticed that he wasnt posting.. I figured its because the younger folk had to tell him..... .. and he couldnt do anything about it... but i will welcome him back since i know he checks these threads daily.. what else does he do with his free time??

Those threads are actually quite rare, compared to previous years. It is probably easier to find a true MD v CRNA thread in the premed forums than it is here.

I think that thread was locked, then deleted. As I recall, it had very little to do with gas, and there may have been a pic of a bare chest.

he was clearly wrong about many many things... he thought he was gods gift to the anesthesia world with his group in BF alabama..
