hello everyone!

Do you know if Safeway/albertson have grad intern program for pharmacy student? I’m a third year pharmacy student and I’m working with Safeway now as an intern. I will become a P4 this May. I plan to work for Safeway company after graduation. I just wonder if any of you know about the program? And how soon should I start to apply for job when I am a P4?

Keep in mind that Albertsons just bought Rite Aid and the plan is to convert all stores to Rite Aid. Similar to CVS in Target. So even though you have a cushy grocery store job now it won't last. I used to work for Albertsons and interned there for 2 years during school. I was not offered a job. They will interview you during your P4 year along with all of the other interns. My class had maybe 14 interns and 2 jobs. Basically don't put your eggs in one basket.

make sure you apply everywhere else. highly doubt they will be hiring with the merger with rite aid...probably tons of rite aid interns out there.
