I read a former post on salaries for neurology with a fellowship.

What salary are we looking at for neurology without a fellowship?

I'm doing neuro anyway, regardless of the money. Still, I'd be lying if I said I was not at least interested and hopeful.

Thanks guys and gals.

i cant answer this really, noone can..depends on if you are doing private practice vs academia, the latter being less well compensated for.. also depends on how flexible you are regarding where you want to live...ive heard of general folks going out and making 200k+ recently, also heard of someone working somewhere for 150k part time/3 days a week, these are probably high. i would say for private expect 120-150k maybe? ive heard someone offered a job at one of the places i interviewed at for 75k(!), etc, i would guess academia probably 100k is average..but again, this varies _greatly_, also depends if you do EMGs, do a fellowship, and so on...

Actually, there is plenty of data out there on neurology salaries in general. Just go to Google and type in "physician salaries" or "neurology salaries" and you will easily find lots of info. There is a broad range of salary, dependent primarily on geography, private practice vs academic, and independent vs hospital based. There is not, however, much info on neurology salary based on subspecialty training (at least not that I've ever been able to find).
