hey guys when u guys talk about the salary of a podiatrist are you guys talking about a pod with just 4 years of schooling or does it also include the 2-3 year specialty residency?

If it doesn't how much would a 2-3 year residency raise the salary of a pod to?

Usually, when I am talking about a salary, I specify 3 year surgical residency. State laws require you to do residency and most people in this day and age are doing 3 year surgical although a few still opt to do 2.

Under the old model, it was possible for people to do one year of residency and I am even aware of a few "old school" pods that did no residency. I think last year's APMA salary report broke down the difference in pay according to years of training.
