Hi I know that Dr. Doan has been great enough to list books that he thinks are good for med students before their rotations in ophtho, but I was wondering if any of you have actually read any of them and could give any info on whether or not they helped you on your rotations. I already have clinical ophtho made ridiculously simple and it seems really cool for giving you the basics, but it really gives no info on how to use a slit lamp, or even what you can use it for. Also there is no real info on indirect ophthalmological exams. I know some posters have talked about refracting and I honestly don't really know what that is. I have only had the opportunity to operate with an ophtho this year so I dont know much of anything about what they do in clinic, so I am interested in a book that will fill me in. If any of you can suggest any of those books for clinic work that would be great. I just really dont want to show up for the rotation and look like a complete idiot, partial idiot is okay though. Thanks in advance.
