same questions?

does everyone take the same 350 questions but scrambed each year? or does the national board have a pot of several thousand questions that get regenerated, therefore no repeat questions? i am sure they try to make it so that the exam each year is 'similar' but was curious if they actually use the SAME questions?

i guess what i'm asking is, if you have a friend who took a test, what is the chance that the same question/picture will show up on your exam?

There are many, many questiosn fro the USMLE. Since the test is on computer and you take it at your own pace, you know that there are multiple modules of questions. If you discuss with your friends what was on the tests, there is some (but little) chance that you will see the same questions. Some topics are more common than others.
