Hello,

I've been prepping for my MCAT which is 2 and a half weeks away and last weekend I took the unscored exam and after finishing I noticed that i did much better in every single section except in CARS, did exactly the same, compared to the four NS FL's I have taken. On NS I've gotten a 506/508/506/508 so far but when I used NS' calculator for the AAMC unscored exam I got a 506 which seems totally unrealistic and impossible considering how much better I did on it. Is this a tactic of some sorts to encourage more studying or is the test scoring just deflated? Any reassurances would help because I am honestly terrified to take AAMC FL 1 this weekend just because a friend of mine took it yesterday and bombed it and the whole unscored exam situation is making me feel real uneasy about my upcoming exam.

NS and other 3rd party MCAT material are known to be more difficult and have deflated scores. AAMC should be pretty representative of the real deal. However, it's more important to focus on what you are getting wrong, rather than the actual score.
