Has anybody gotten any rejection letters or heard from this university yet??

I have heard of 1 person getting a rejection letter. I dont think they have started interviewing yet.

I haven't heard anything, but Samford is waiting on my January PCAT. I hope to hear something soon, Samford is my first choice.

Mine too! Do you live in Alabama?

Hey there, guys. I live in Alabama myself but I'm currently enrolled in Pre-Pharmacy. It's good to hear somebody talking about a school from my home state. What are your preferences between Samford and Auburn University? If everything goes well I will probably apply to the three-year Georgia Pharm D. program, plus both of the Alabama options. Actually I am concerned on how my Husband and I will pick up and move without a significant income over there, find new jobs and an apartment. I am not so concerned about financing yet, because I can always pay back the loans, but it will be very hard to start out in a different part of the state.

For you guys-- are you having to relocate for pharmacy school? Where do you plan on living and how about affording everything?

Wanted to bump this thread and check on the progress of Samford hopefuls... I had my interview on March 3rd and should have a response by this time next week. Anyone else have any news?

I had my interview Feb. 27th and I also should be hearing around Wednesday of next week.

I haven't heard back yet on whether I will get an interview, I'm starting to get worried. For those who have interviewed, what are your stats.

Here are mine (in generalities, anyway - can PM you more specifics if you want them):

GPA 3.941
Overall PharmCAS GPA 3.94
PCAT 75 😳
6 years technician experience

I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry too much - several of my classmates, co-workers, and friends have not heard yet, either. Is it just me, or does this process seem to be taking forever?!?

Wanted to let ya'll know that Samford is still interviewing (through the end of April). My friend just got called a few days ago to set one up, and she'll be going on the 28th.

Oh, and FWIW, I was officially "waitlisted" until May 5th when a final decision will be made. By that time I think my chances of acceptance will be close to nil, so we're making preparations to move to Atlanta! While I'm excited to be attending the school that I liked most (Mercer), I'm scared to death about the practical side of things... can't figure out how we're gonna be able to sell our house here, find a suitable place to live in Atlanta, transfer jobs, and get the little one registered for kindergarten between now and the beginning of August! :scared: I just keep telling myself it'll all work out in the end...

Hey everybody, I'm going to Samford next fall. I'm actually in the process of looking for a roommate, so if you all know anyone who is going there and needs a roommate, maybe you could let me know. I traded the stress of worrying about getting in, for worrying about where I'm going to live and who with next fall. Oh well, I can't really complain I guess. Good luck to everyone!

I am actually going today to my interview at Samford. The actual interview is at tomorrow at 9 AM. I am excited!!

Good luck on your interview, well I guess by the time you read this it will have been over so I guess I should say, how did it go? I really enjoyed my interview there.

I really enjoyed speaking to the professors. I had hoped to showcase my intelligence more, but they asked more personal questions. When they did ask a question about my desire to be a pharmacist, I'm not sure how well I answered them. I want to go there so badly, so I hope I will be accepted. They said they have filled about 75% of the class, and that I will know by April 14th if I am accepted, declined, or waitlisted. I'm praying and crossing my fingers!!!! :scared:
