Does anyone know where to find sample personal statements for dental school? I've been searching the web and have found many for medical school but only one for dental school. I would like to see how others have structured theirs. I know you will direct me to the Personal Statement tips thread, and I've read it. I'm one who learns from examples though. I'm just looking for a little push to help motivate me. I've written 4 statements so far but I don't think any of them are good enough. I'm really frustrated and I'm afraid I won't get it done in time. Please Help!

You've written 4 Personal Statements? Your just paranoid - do one of the following:

A) pick the best one and edit it
B) take the good parts of each one and edit it
C) start over - and get it right the 5th time! and edit it
D) procrastinate - and don't get it done untill sept/oct
E) who cares - it's just a personal statement - skip it

As you can see, the order of importance goes from A - E

Choose wisely!

If you buy Barron's "How to prepare for the DAT" they have 4 or 5 samples you can look at.

Hey a personal statement should be about you and should represent who you are. If you look at samples it’s only going to skew they way you look at your own personal experiences. So I would suggest write your own without a reference and have someone else read it for you to judge if it is good.
