Hiii,

I was wondering if people could tell me examples of "random" questions that you think you'll see on the DAT for BIO.

I just want to have an idea of what I can possibly encounter on the DATs.

Thanks guys!
🙂

Haha, it's tough to tell you a "random" question... because well... they come out of nowhere. Really, there is no reason to worry about it. Get General Chem and Organic down cold, and learn as much bio as you can and you'll be fine. There is no reason to worry about biology past a 20-21 score, it is more or less out of your hands.

Hmm about what? lol what is considered random?
I remember on my SAT II bio they asked me if fish had teeth or not. Random like that?

Do the Achiever tests and you'll understand what people mean by random questions. It has tons of random out of nowhere questions that are extremely specific that can be about anything.

The DAT biology is very broad, but there are about 5 questions that can be extremely specific on just about anything. so when you see these questions, you just have to give up if you don't know the answer right away.

i didn't understand what everyone was saying about how "random" bio what until this week. now i totally see what everyone is talking about. it's literally things like random tissues or pigments that even as a bio major i've never heard of. i was freaking out about how i was going to score on it but it ended up being fine. don't stress, you can't really be prepared for the ones that come out of left field.
