My husband has an interview at Samuel Merritt, and so I am just trying to help him out. Can someone please advice on what to expect at the interview in terms of questions and structure? Also what is the best way to prepare for the interview...what are some of the most typical questions asked and what do they look for in a candidate?

Thanks!

I haven't interviewed there, but you can always check the interview feedback section on this site. If you click on the "Interview" link at the very top of this page you can then navigate to the podiatry school feedback section.

As far as I know, if he's got an invitation he most likely will be accepted on the same day. There was a strange question that I was asked. The question was: what moment in your life defines who you are today? I really think they are interested in learning who you are and maybe not so much in the answer you're providing. I ended up mumbling something really lame but he seemed fine with it since I was accepted the same day. Also, I think I remember there were 3 separate interviewers from different depts. They're really nice folks and I don't think its anything to get nervous about. Behind those white coats, they really are people. Good luck to your husband! 😀

Thanks for your input. Appreciate it.
