Does Sangamo own the technology? The article doesn't specify. The genomics behind some being immune has been known for a couple years I believe. Are other companies developing similar therapies? Phase I is very early and likely years + millions of dollars before FDA approval. That assumes it even gets approved. I would call this a risky investment without substantially more information on the company, technology, and competition.
